Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz lasagna noodles broken into large pieces
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 lb ground beef or Italian sausage, turkey, or plant-based alternative
  • 2 cups marinara sauce homemade or store-bought
  • ½ cup ricotta cheese or cottage cheese for a lighter version
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • ½ cup parmesan cheese grated
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes optional for spice
  • For Garnish
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • 1 tbsp balsamic glaze optional for added depth

  • Vegetarian Version: Swap meat for mushrooms lentils, or plant-based crumbles.
  • Low-Carb/Keto Version: Replace pasta with zucchini ribbons or eggplant slices.
  • Deconstructed Lasagna Soup: Add extra broth and serve in a deep bowl.

Instructions
 

  • 1 Cook the Pasta:
  • Boil lasagna noodles in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • 2 Prepare the Meat & Sauce:
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  • Add ground beef, cook until browned, then drain excess fat.
  • Stir in marinara sauce, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  • 3 Assemble the Deconstructed Lasagna:
  • Divide cooked pasta onto plates.
  • Spoon sauce and meat mixture over the pasta.
  • Add dollops of ricotta cheese and sprinkle with mozzarella and parmesan.
  • 4 Garnish & Serve:
  • Top with fresh basil leaves and drizzle with balsamic glaze (optional).
  • Serve hot with garlic bread or a fresh salad.
