Ingredients
  

  • 1 medium-sized pear thinly sliced (leave the skin on for added fiber)
  • 1 tablespoon fennel seeds lightly crushed or ½ cup fresh fennel slices
  • 1 liter filtered water
  • Optional: Ice cubes a slice of lemon, or fresh mint leaves for flavor

Instructions
 

  • Wash the pear thoroughly and slice it thinly, leaving the skin on for added nutrients.
  • If using fresh fennel, slice it into thin pieces. If using fennel seeds, crush them lightly to release their flavors.
  • Add the pear slices and fennel (seeds or slices) to a large pitcher.
  • Pour filtered water into the pitcher and stir gently to combine.
  • Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight to allow the flavors to infuse.
  • Serve chilled with optional ice cubes, a slice of lemon, or a sprig of mint for garnish.
