Instructions
Prepare the Patties:
In a bowl, gently mix the ground beef with salt and pepper.
Divide into 4 equal portions and form into patties, pressing a small indentation in the center of each to prevent bulging during cooking.
Cook the Burgers:
Preheat a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat or prepare your grill.
For stovetop cooking, add a drizzle of olive oil or butter.
Cook the patties for 3–5 minutes per side, checking with a meat thermometer:
Medium-rare: 130–135°F
Medium: 140–145°F
Well-done: 160°F or above
Melt the Cheese:
During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheese on each patty and cover briefly to ensure even melting.
Toast the Buns:
Lightly toast the burger buns on the grill or in the skillet until golden and slightly crisp.
Assemble the Burger:
Place the cooked patty on the bottom bun, then layer with lettuce, tomato slices, red onions, and pickle slices.
Drizzle with your favorite sauce and cap with the top bun.
Serve:
Allow the burger to rest for a couple of minutes to retain its juices before serving. Enjoy your Perfect Classic Cheeseburger while hot!

Notes
Handle the meat gently to ensure the patties remain juicy.
Resting the patties after cooking helps lock in the flavor and moisture.
