  • Prep Work:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease a 9-inch cake pan and line it with parchment paper.
  • Step-by-Step Directions:
  • Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and chopped almonds. Set aside.
  • Cream Butter and Sugar: In another bowl, beat the softened butter and sugar with an electric mixer until light and fluffy (about 2 minutes).
  • Add Eggs and Vanilla: Mix in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
  • Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture in three parts, alternating with almond milk. Start and end with the dry ingredients.
  • Pour Batter: Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
